Common Questions

Do you take insurance?

Yes! I am in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), Regence, and Premera. I am licensed in Washington and Oregon. If I am not in network with your insurance payer, please find my cash pay offerings on the Services tab. I am happy to provide you with a superbill for you to submit to insurance for reimbursement. Please note that payment is due at time of session and I cannot guarantee reimbursement from insurance via superbill.

Will you tell me I need to lose weight? Can you help me lose weight?

I am a weight-neutral dietitian and proudly grounded in the Health At Every Size® paradigm. Our work together will be geared toward learning your body's needs and how to fuel appropriately for your life and goals, finding freedom and permission with all foods, and fostering body wisdom and attunement. I am happy to (and experienced in!) help you navigate internal thoughts and/or societal pressures related to weight and body goals as you embark on your nutrition journey, but I will never recommend weight loss and weight will not be the focus of our work together.

What is your cancellation policy?

My appointment slots are limited, and my calendar books up, which means that a late cancellation or no show has a big impact on my business! I appreciate as much notice as possible if you are not able to attend our scheduled appointment time. Cancellations within 48 hours and/or no shows will be charged the fee of a session ($175).

What sorts of "problems" do you help people solve?

The majority of folks seeking out a dietitian are looking to better their "health" in one way, shape, or form. "Health" is nuanced and the product of many factors (genetics, social, emotional, food, exercise, sleep, etc.). My job is to help with the food piece of the puzzle, whether that means using food to support or enhance sport performance, recovery from an eating disorder, ditching the dieting (or diet-binge) cycle, increasing flexibility with food to foster more connection in your life (hello, mental health!), support around a new autoimmune diagnosis, managing lab values or chronic disease diagnosis(es), addressing poor or inconsistent energy levels, providing guidance around how to feed your family, etc. This is not an exhaustive list, but gives a few examples!
